The Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) provides leadership, advocacy and support for the profession in Ontario.
Established in 1950, the OAND is a voluntary professional association representing 80 percent of Ontario’s 755 registered naturopathic doctors, through government, media and public relations.

Mission Statement
We are a dedicated results based organization that supports naturopathic doctors as valued partners in the health care system by:
- Advocating for naturopathic doctors so they can improve the health of Ontarians;
- Setting the standard of practice for clinical excellence in patient-centred care; and,
- Providing relevant resources and services to advance the profession and educate the public.
Goals
- To understand the needs of naturopathic doctors and increase membership in the OAND.
- To provide members with timely, relevant resources and services to support and enhance the role of naturopathic doctors and remain their preferred source of information, knowledge and networking.
- To be the voice of the profession and represent and advance OAND membership interests to selected external bodies.
- To promote naturopathic doctors and be recognized as valued partners in the health care system.
- To develop guidelines and standards of practice for excellence in patient-centered care.
- To promote scientific interest and research in naturopathic medicine.
- To pursue our Vision and Mission in an innovative, results based, effective and fiscally responsible manner with strong governance and management leadership.
